Like the "RUSTY RAILS" album these songs go back to my early days of song writing, very few were slightly altered before re-recording. They are all basic, simple folky types of songs and I hope they capture the raw, natural, innocent, down to earth feeling I strove for.
Desperation lives in dark places, in this case it's a dingy dive located on the wrong side of the railroad tracks known as "THE MAGIC BULLET" where dreams go up in smoke and hopes go down the drain and tomorrow is just...another day.
Thanks to Eugene O'Neill's classic play "The Iceman Cometh" for this album's inspiration.
A newer collection of songs that came after the early days of "RUSTY RAILS" and "DIRT ROAD DUST".
This was a project that started a long time ago (hence the title "RUSTY RAILS"). Upon revisiting my original recordings I noticed that the original tapes were deteriorating so I began "digitizing" the original tapes and the thought occurred to me that maybe I could resurrect the material and re-record the stuff using new technology. So here are the results of additional editing, molding and pounding of these old songs into shape again.
